We bought a couple of pieces of land. Will definitely plants some fruit trees.

    So far on the list...

    White pirie mango
    Lychee
    Longan (dragon eye)
    Guava
    Lilikoi (passion fruit vine)
    Pineapple
    Maybe papaya
    Maybe banana
    Maybe coconut

    We already have:

    Strawberry guava
    Costers curse
A bunch more. We haven't fully scouted yet.

    What would your favorites be?

I know that after 7 years on Guam, guava and mango were most prevalent, likely thanks to the fruit bats helping to plant new ones! But short of any fruit that requires a "cold cycle" to grow and fruit, tropical areas have a definite advantage!

@Hanzo , does your area of the world have a hankering for hot food? Thanks to the Spanish influence, Guam enjoyed a hunger for spicy hot food, and the "boonie peppers" that grew there kept my mouth on fire for the better part of the time I lived and worked there! Come to find out (later), they were just good old fashioned tabasco peppers!

Half Adai @natshare! Lots of spicy foods in Hawaii. And I used to go to Guam every other month for 1-2 weeks in my earlier life.

Yeah, I loved the people and the culture (and history) there. Didn't care much for the cost of living (which skyrocketed, once the Japanese started buying people's ancestral land, to build hotels), the distance from family, or the humidity! LOL I'd purely DIE from that humidity, nowadays!!

    Mahalo for the tips.

My student gave me white pineapple on Oahu, but we managed to kill it. They are supposed to be super sweet and I love pineapple. Know where I can get here? Can I hit you up for lilikoi seeds? Or where to get some of the purple ones? We love lilikoi too. I make lilikoi sparkling water and lilikoi ice cream when I have.
