    I eat bugs all the time carpenter ants are like sour patch kids sweet and sour wasp larva are good if you don't get stung by mom.and dad grasshopper remove the head and stomach and toast worms purged and dryer on a hot rock.

    @Bishop I have never liked the sour candy but eating bugs and crawly stuff is something one should try if they are serious about survival and eating off the land. I never knew you had to remove the head and stomach of a grasshopper. I have seen videos of people eating grasshoppers and people toasted them up and crunched away. Maybe I missed that part. A grasshopper stomach is really small.

    Grasshopper carry tape worms if you twist the head easy the stomach comes out with it carpenter ants hold the head and eat the back part .

    Correct and that is why they must be cooked.

    IMO, if one is serious about survival, they should take a hike and see how they do. Spring and summer are around the corner.

    The videos you watched are correct. Hard shelled exoskeleton insects carry parasites and should be cooked before eating.
    Remove the head and legs; the stomach is part of the "nutrition."

    Termites are ~38% protein and one of the better sources of food..
