I'm getting ready to beef up the ammo supply and was thinking of buying some wolf brand rounds. I've heard varying opinions on the stuff and I was hoping for some first hand knowledge. I shot about 30 rds through a friends 1911 a couple weeks ago with no problems, but 30 rounds is hardly enough to tell anything.

I'll be stocking up on 38spc for my revolvers and 223 for my AR15.

I've pumped a few hundred rounds of steel case (polymer coated, not laquer) down my FAR, and thousands of trap rounds with nary a problem.

While Im sure others here have put MANY times more rounds of the stuff down range than I have, I have fired 2-3K rounds at least of Wolfs 7.62x39 ammo from my SKS and AK and have no complaints about the ammo. I only recall 1 that failed to fire the first time and after inspecting it and seeing there was barely a dimple on the primer found that the Mrs had slid the bolt forward on it in the SKS rather than releasing it and suspect that it was simply not fully closed on the round. That one aside I dont recall haveing any fail to preform as expected. In fact I carried their SP ammo in my AK for deer season this week but the only thing I shot was a tree that got between me and the deer....did a number on the back side of the tree though. lol

I would have to say if would IMHO be the best option, at least in the cals I have had experience with, for stocking up since it is reliable and affordable enouph to be able to get 4-5 times what you could of say remington or winchester for the same money.

I have shot several thousands of rounds of Wolf, no problems. The older Wolf with that was laquer coated supposedly caused a few problems, but I never really had any. I have noticed that Wolf is not as clean an ammo as some others, but it shoots fine. I have quite a bit of it stocked up.

Yep, good stuff for target ammo and the price is right. I've used lots of it in a couple different calibers and never had an issue.

Sounds like it's a winner, the price is definitely right. Thanks for the input!

Depends on the caliber and gun from my experience. My Springfield Champ hates it and will FTE, but nothing else I have minds it. Then again I only run it in AK's and AR's.
