Another great reason to grow your own. I am not looking forward to the repercussions if this becomes the norm

Chicken breast is up to $4.00/lb locally on ad. Unfortunately, I can't raise my own where I live.

ditch witch I do stupid crap, so you don't have to

Normally I sell my rabbits as fast as I make them but I've got 20 in growout pens now and another 20 due wean in the next week, and with the exception of the Mini Rex I think they're all going to go in our freezer.

I'm also going to have a talk with our next door neighbor and see how he feels about us having some roosters for a little while. There's 6-7 roos in the chicks and I'm thinking I'd like to go ahead and grow them out to butcher, but I don't want to piss off the guy with 6-7 cockledoodlers going off at 5 am.

Know someone that was looking for a new home for a mean rooster she had. Told her I would take it, however there was no garantee as to how my little boy (my Rotty) would take to it. He does a good job at keeping the more aggressive critters away.. And he has taken to going after buzzing Bee's since he got stung..

It is time to get some more chickens. Have not had any in about five years and have considered how to do it with the Rott in mind .. Believe I have found a solution in the hoop plans.

Thank you for this PSA. I checked the freezer again to make sure I didn't have any. Sadly I never heard of any of these recalls on the news. I mainly listen to radio vs. TV so @Yard Dart I really appreciate these posts.

The first recall in my life that I remember was some kind of tuna. To this day I have never eaten tuna. This was 57(approx.)years ago. It was such a scandal at the time. Now, like someone said they are getting to be the new normal. This is very sad for our us.

She "chickened" out and gave it to someone else.. She complained a lot about how she had hurt herself after that rooster took after her, yet she did not want to think about what that Rott would do to the rooster. I am with you and let them go at it. Rott could learn some respect .. Well, probably not!
