Why yes it is and among other thing's, Belts, Boots, Luggage, Wallets's

 

Wallets... I once had a wallet made from elephant foreskin... it was great, you could rub it and it'd turn into a suitcase.

It's suprisingly easy to catch one with a lasso, Or so I'm told ? Not that I would ever consider dangling a rope over the side and vibrating the loop on the water. Lol

 

I was a little disappointed at the mentality of some of the good old boys near my AO. There was a dead doe along the highway about 3 miles from my house. Someone had either witnessed the kill (struck by a semi most likely) and stopped and slit open the back, removing only the backstraps. The rest was left for the buzzards and coyotes. If you are there and know it is fresh, you could make better use of it then that! jmho

Accept i came across a deer in LA ... {like a good size german Shepard} but hit by a smaller car and we were fixing to take and one guy made the point that he had done this before and the guts got all screwed up by the impact and it ruined the meat...
But in any case , nothing wrong with eating road kill espicaly if u seen the accident ..;.

Yeah, what burns my butt, is when I find a dead buck in the woods, and they took nothing but the head and rack. I was raised to waste nothing of use, and I try to follow that creed.

 

I was up in Missouri with some friends a while back and someone hit a doe and broke her back. I shot her with a .380 and carried her to a near-by nursing home and we dressed it and cut it up for them. They loved it!.

 

Had to finish off a hit doe when in our car. Pulled her up on a bank and bled her right there. Put a trash bag down and loaded up the fresh meat. Like you the little 380 put her out of her misery.

 

@Gator 45/70 well if you ever have to catch the creature, you could always make @ditch witch a new pair of shoes for her b.day!

 

Would love to DW, Had a black 7 footer following me around today, As I walked the length of the facility this bad boy would swim behind me just watching and stalking. He would make some very nice shoes !

Gator where do you live? The wife and I are in Alva, Florida. just outside of Fort Myers/Cape Coral

 

The wife hit a deer this past spring, broke it's neck, she finished it off with her 9mm. Couple of guys who saw her hit the deer took it. I chewed her out, said she should have put all the junk in the trunk of her car in the back seat with the kid (or moved her to the front seat) and brought the deer home. $250.00 for a new mirror for the car and no deer to show for it

Sad part is, she's now killed more deer that I have. That will, hopefully, change this hunting season

 

Louisiana, I work in the coastal marshland, Plenty of food swims by everyday.
