".....can i trade my old wife for a young pretty and ambitious one that likes prepping? ...." At least trade her for something useful... Food, fuel, etc...
Yahoo groups has freecycle groups. I haven't found dedicated websites for this, but you can join the groups based on your location and region.
We can do it right here and now... I got a crazy neighbour lady that I will gladly trade you for a handshake... hell I'll even help you tie her up and carry her to you trunk if ya like...
Everyone's a cynic! Hahaha Anyway, I like to make things, but as I get in-to making stuff I find that I have a have stuff that would be cool to trade for other stuff. For instance I have been making soap for a while and I have a bunch of different kinds of handmade soap. I was making beer for a while, but that was a lot easier to trade with... I know a lot of people on here make reloaded ammo and who knows what else. I have been making knives lataley as well. Let's start bartering. With the unemployment as high as it is I'm sure people have the spare time to make stuff.
Just be VERY, VERY, careful bartering Reloaded Ammunition... It is Federal Felony to manufacture Ammunition without a ATF License, for Sale OR Trade, unless you meet very SPECIFIC Requirements, as outlined in ATF Regs. As one who was IN that biz in the past, it is a very limited field. ..... YMMV.....
That's a good warning. Thanks for sharing that with everyone! Craigslist has bartered goods I know a lot that freecycle. Keep in mind that Uncle Sam still requires taxes to be paid on bartered transactions. From the IRS site:
Does she have a boat and motor and trailer? Will you sign her over title of yours? If so send picture of the boat.
Seems uncle obummer gets his hooks into EVERYTHING (I know, this crap began long before the Orally-Challenged Big-eared Buffoon got 'elevated')........
Favabank in the UK There is a new bartering website in the UK which has it's own currency (a Fava) to track people's transactions - see Social Bartering with Favabank | It's SMARTER to BARTER. Is that the kind of thing you were looking for?
What's your location? I do a lot of automotive work on the side as well as some fabrication. I plan on adding garden produce, certain adult beverages and maybe smoked/cured meats to the pool of potential bartered items/skills. I've been looking for a few knives (just bought a couple of Hungarian AK bayonets but am unhappy with the fit and finish).
I'm in the Los Angeles Area. I am hoping to have my next batch of knives done in a few weeks. Ill post pics when they are ready. I must confess that it makes my skin crawl that the government thinks they can tax me for trading things with people! They are ALL CRIMINALS!
That one gets my goat, too. I earned to buy the item I want to barter with; income so used was taxed then, and presumably the guy I'm trading with did too. So double taxation, it seems to me, on the same income. snort
