Went to Wal-Mart today and picked up one of these. Nice inexpensive way to shoot benchrest and sight in guns. Ric

Thought at first you might have been talking about a deal like a guy I know has for a shot sight ins.

He has a heavy vice mounted to a big block with the jaws padded to it dosent scar up the gun. Sets the gun in it with cross hairs/sights on bullseye when tightened on it then fires it. gun is in exact same position after the shot so moves sights/crosshairs to the hole and gun is sighted.

It's not a bad cheapo unit, but it does have some limitations. Certain guns have their detachable magazines in a location that can make reloading difficult without remoing the gun from the vise mount.
These include the Stevens/Savage bolt action .22 rifles and the Ruger Mini14.
If the rifle has heavy recoil, the foam-lined jaws can slip loose too. Just a few things I've found using mine. ;)

Mine works fairly well but like SW said it does have limitations. My uncle does the vice type sight in and it works well but I'm not hyper on it.
    Take care Be safe Poacher.

So define "cheap"; how much did that toy set you back?

    IIRC, about fifteen DP's at Wally's. :)

Plastic and foam rubber = cheap.
Okay for sighting in a .22 rifle though. I use it more often when cleaning them.
