    29 December, 2006. The Army has transferred to the CMP a significant quantity of M1 Carbines. We are currently processing these carbines through our Inspection & Repair operations and expect to have some ready for sale by 1 March, 2007, but it may be sooner. More information will be posted on this web page as it becomes available. </O:p>
    </O:p>
    At this time no decisions have been made as to grading, pricing, or limits. We are not accepting orders or establishing waiting lists at this time!! </O:p>

    Outstanding!!

    I've always loved M1 carbines, might have to make an excuse to pick up one of these.

    Of course then I have to get a WW2 set of fatigues and a steel pot so I can run around the farm like an idiot diving behind hay bales, shooting at imaginary SS troops, and generally scaring the heck out of the cattle. :)

    The first available will be Inlands for $495. Seems a little too much for a carbine, given that Inlands are the most common, and especially with no magazine.

    We've heard that instead of going to the military, all the recalled M14s will be sold part by part

    A friend of mine is a FFL dealer said that CMP was supposed to sell (1) each of 6 different manufacturers of M1 Carbines to FFL and C/R dealers only. I don't know if that has changed any or not?

    $550 is too much for a hoopty ol' M1 Carbine.

    RH that is pretty shitty about the M14's being parted out:(
