Read or heard a report that stated there are over 1 million Hi Cap AR mags currently on back order. Boy wont that make them crap their pants. And that was before every one stopped allowing back order.
I question what a story like this will do. People becoming well stocked prior to feared legislation but will this cause the powers to exclude grandfathering into any new legislation? What is to stop them from trying to confiscate personal property? If these clips are being ordered via on-line then there will be a paper trail to ownership.
They already have a paper trail if you purchased your gun legally in recent years. You filled out BATFE form 4473, no? Unless you paid cash at a physical store for everything (i.e., mags, ammo, accessories), you have a paper trail. Too bad you sold all of that stuff from your trunk at a gun-show and the buyer paid cash.
Wecan't stop them from trying. We can stop them from succeeding. I think publicity is a good thing in this case.Might just get the message through some really thick heads that plenty enough of us are just plain tired of the boot on our throat.
Now Ghrit, I'm sure CATO was just making a joke even if it was in such poor taste. ................by the way, anyone got an old leaky boat to get rid of?
Poor taste?? Really Ghrit???? After the continual lying we (the public) have received after F&F and Benghazi and the fact that as of now, there would be nothing illegal about that transaction....not to mention any laws restricting citizens from buying/selling/trading legal guns is not Constitutional. If the jackboots want to spit on the 2nd and 4th Amendments, I'm not going to help them do their unlawful jobs. Moreover, I think it was you who has had several boats that have sunk while transporting your arsenal to and fro: ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ? Are you sure?
How do I respond to the posts above?? I swear I read on here somewhere a discussion about Dr's asking Vets questions about anger, plus Drs asking children if there are guns in the home. I have seen posts of people wanting to bury guns. On the road 'they' are trying to drag us down, the good Americans are having to become vague. It is sad that a Vet cannot speak true feelings, it is pathetic that we need to teach our children to lie. I had the pleasure of listening to an extreme liberal's response to the uptick in ammo, guns and clip sales. After this person laughed at how Obama was the greatest firearm salesman of our time, the words gun nuts and paranoid were used. This person believes O when he said in 2008 that he would not go after the weapons.... And Mr O is being true to his word.... note: shotgun, rifle, handgun. Anything else is something different.
I didn't mention poor taste ---. And, even after I extract my tongue from my cheek, I won't plague you with a point by point checkoff of the idiocy in the banner's ravings or the incompetence at the Department of State and DoJ, we're in good agreement there. My losses on the boats is due to my poor ability to select things that float. Nothing illegal about that, just expensive. The truly shameful part is that I don't swim well, and in the panic to save my own scrawny carcass, the GPS went down with the boat, too. I don't know where any of the stuff is. Motomom's concerns are real and well founded. I've been watching the sudden acquisitive streak that is driving Fedor's OP about the scarcity of mags. We see the rise in the rate of newbs signing up on SM; the need for preps to face the very real potential of federal interference in personal freedoms is becoming obvious to the sheep. About damn time, says me.
My fault. I didn't edit properly . . . I started one way, then noticed the second post, and the sentence was left incorrect. It should've stated: Poor taste?? A ban??? Really Ghrit???? The comment was directed at both posts and perhaps I should've put a paragraph after the first sentence. Mea culpa. I don't think my original post was in poor taste or worthy of a ban (given the frequency it is alluded to on SM without such negative comments).
Just a NOTE, here... ATF Form 4473 stays in the hands of the FFL, and does NOT go anywhere else, even if the ATF comes around... They can copy it, but the original MUST stay with the FFL, until he goes "out of business". At that Point, they go to a National Archive. When the "Revolution" Starts, The first thing that goes in my Wood Stove, is my collection of 4473's.... ......
Wow, I had heard on the news that Coloradans were not in the buying frenzy. Wrong! Background checks are running 8-10 business days. I guess the media was inaccurate in their reporting. BTW- I am glad you are all getting along now- One big happy monkey family.
