Here is a series of videos available on YouTube for anyone trying to learn how to dehydrate foods. I would have put them up individually but when I do that the whole thing shows up in a post and I don't seem to be able to stop that, YouTube - How to dehydrate and store food. They are titled 'How to dehydrate and store food PART 1' all the way to part 10. -- The videos are short.... usually around 10 minutes each. I've watched all of these videos and now that I have begun dehydrating on my own, I would have to say the woman does a good job covering the basics so anyone can go it on their own. -- There is one tip she is missing when dehydrating bananas that I will add... stick the sheets in a freezer for a while and the banana chips will release from the sheets without a lot of aggravation. Honestly.... I don't want to hurt you feelings but.... not exactly. I was trying to keep those big huge images out of the post since there were so many of them and every time I add a direct link to a YouTube.... it shows up in a mini viewing screen. When I preview.... they're not there but the minute I post.... BAM.... they're there bigger than life. I tried to figure out a way to give everyone a heads up where they were so I went to search and got them to show up in sequence. Turns out your way was much better than my way for others. Now everyone on hi-speeed can get to the videos much more easily. I was only trying to keep the YouTubes out of my posts because I've been sending links to a coupla friends who are on dial up. PLEASE don't change your changes to my post. Other folk like dragonfly are sending out links to their friends too and I think I read somewhere only 20% of the US was still stuck on dial ups.
That's a feature we have where the links automagically do that. Thing is, if your friends are on dialup, YouTube might not be a good link to send anyway... I really don't think the YouTube previews are very large in file size.
I've been to their homes and used their computers. Some days seem to be better than others. About 3 or 4 of those mini views seem to be about it. Big photos are a killer. I don't think there's any day any of them can watch a YouTube unless it's like only 30 seconds. I know how they watch them. They e-mail the thread to themselves and don't open it until they go to a library then they open it and click on the YouTubes. It's been a while since I've been on dial up.... I'd quit going online if I ever had to go back. You get spoiled after a while yet.... when you've never been able to have anything except dial-up.... you're ok with it.
