I picked up few XD's over the past month. So far I am really pleased, reliablity has been 100% between the three. I really like the Tactical .45, the accuracy has been a lot more than expected.

Actually, I first fired one way back when they were the HS2000 and before Springfield started marketing them, I liked it then, but not enough to buy something new and untested. Then I shot yours and liked it. I talked to some folks that owned them and carried them on duty. So I bought the .45 Tactical and it leaves one ragged hole. I love the 1911's, but when I cannot carry (work) and I have to leave my Les Baer in my truck I am just one "smash and grab" away from losing $1800+. I keep it well hidden, but still I didn't want to take that chance. If they get an XD, I am out about $500+. I shoot it well, I like it, and the capacity is 13+1. The accessory rail is also a big benefit. Now that I have found two pistol platforms that I am really comfortable with, I am concentrating on more mags, ammo, more pistols, and ARs too.

Oh, BTW I joined a range in Mineola, you should come down and we can burn some powder. It's actually pretty cheap ($50 a year) with a clubhouse, skeet/trap, pistol and rifle ranges. You also might contemplate joining so you could go whenever you wanted. Before long they are going to start charging an initiation fee.

What length is the rifle range? Mineola isn't that far away. Greenville has a 300yard Range and you can practice tacticool shooting:D Sometimes I have access to the local Po-Po range...sometimes.

Right now they just have a 100 yd. range, but they are working on others. You can't beat the price.

Nice!!! Give these sights a gander. I've got 'em on mine and love 'em. They make for very quick sight alignment.

I am waiting for the night sight version. I looked at them over on the XD forum, and I am thinking about trying them out.

http://www.center-of-mass.com/ for those looking for a good way to lock their weapons in their vehicle to that a "smash and grab" doesn't result in an $1,800 depression of the bank account![winkthumb]

I looked at those a while back Clyde, I actually bought a couple of small safes, and I am thinking about bolting one into my vehicle.
