Hello from Tulsa! I am 45 y/o married with 7 kids. Been a preppie off and on for about 15 years, starting to step up my plans more in the last year. Working on finishing my BOV's right now, an '80 Bronco, and a '77 Bronco. I just about have them EMP safe, stripped down all except for the brain box and electronic ignition out of both of them. I am doing a frame off on the '77 so it will actually be better than a new car when I am through. I have extra of the remaining electrical parts in a Faraday box just in case. Currently have BOB's for my family for about 4 days, and if we shelter in home, supplies for about 1 month. Working on building that up to 3 months by Christmas, and eventually have a year on hand. Just bought a small, (5600 watt) generator this week to add to my preps. My main goal for '07 is to find some land to start an off grid homestead. Glad to be here and look forward to learning from all of you.
Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have a good start going and theres lots of info here that may help, also feel free to jump right in and add any info you may have to the discussion.
We need some more Okies on here. The Texans have us outnumbered! Welcome aboard. You gonna be at the Wanemacher show next weekend? Shoot me a PM maybe we could meet up and have a cold one.
Welcome to the board. I really like Tulsa, I was there a couple of weeks back as a close friend and his family live there. It sounds like you are setting yourself up for success with your preps. Glad to have you here.
Thanks for the welcome. Minuteman, my wife is out of town next weekend, so I have soccer, and kid duty. I will take a raincheck on the cold one. Are you in Tulsa? I would like to find some like minded preppies in the area to maybe put together some group buys if they are interested. Drop me a PM.
Welcome gillman...! (Now I have that George Strait song about Tulsa in my head...it's way too early for that! )
