Pick up a 2 die set 3030 by Hornady on sale for $28! Good thing I did because it was the last one they had.
Our Academy reloading dept looks like they are going out of business, lol. It was never big to begin with, but they have been wiped out along with 99% of their ammo. Wasn't that bad 10 days ago.
Pray for an early Snow Storm, to blanket the midwest and northeast on November 4th for a week or so... nobody likes to protest in a Snow Storm...
Scored a spare set of .308 dies from them a while back, $25.00 for the set! Never hurts to have extras, and if I wanted to run a family ammo plant, it's one less thing needed! Lol
Good deal !!! Now if you only had lead,a mold plus a few other items you could cast some very nice Nutria shooter boolets...lol
There's still plenty of dies and powder to be had on midway, all the stores are sold out of powder and primers. 30-30 appropriate bullets are usually available on midway. There are no large rifle primes to be had unless you want to pay at least 13 cents per primer on gunbroker. If you want to cast your own bullets you need a sizer luber rig and they're all sold out at the moment
Powder is available if you look around, but expensive and only in 1 lb containers. Small rifle primers just about unobtanium. I've been able to locate both on a regional firearms forum. BTW, it doesn't hurt to check on people with old or expired ads. I'm getting ready to make some Mk262 clones, and found the powder I want a bit over half the price and with no HAZMAT fees that way. Also found a great deal on used mostly Lake City 5.56 brass that been deprimed, cleaned, and tumbled for about 7 cents a case. Have plenty of new Lake City but not enough for my next couple of projects.
Graf and Sons has powder. I still can't find small pistol primers. I think I've signed up for every 'Notify me when available' on the internet.
I was finding plenty of availability of the powders I use at Midway and Brownells, but only in the more expensive 1 lb cans. So for 4 lbs of the powder I wanted it was $26 a can plus $20 HAZMAT + $10 shipping = $134. The eight lb jug I found is $150, no fees, so for an extra 16 bux I get twice as much and it's all the same lot
Ammoseek has an option for reloading supplies Best Ammo for Finding Ammunition 2020 - Guns Mags Reloading . No small pistol primers right now, but the game or to be patient Primers pistol Primers are virtually unobtanium right now. The few that you can find are 5,000 qty lots for $500 USD.
