Thanks Tango, that was a sticky pickle I was in when I read that post of yours. Good thing this was purely a hypothetical post of musings and absolutely not anything factual in nature. I am an order-following patriot who would never think to read or interpret the Constitution on my own since I believe my elected officials and commissioned officer MUST have a more firm grasp on what the Constitution ACTUALLY means than I could ever have.

 

Good job; if you weren't worth the trust you wouldn't be there,I get to talking too big; someday my "elephant mouth is gonna over take my hummingbird a**",(i.e.my lackadaisical "of course everything in lifes a joke" style will get me a stern talking too or more....)

precisely the attitude of the majority of americans, SOME ONE ELSE SHOULD TAKE CARE OF IT, it's not my "ignorant" responsibility. And precisely why the government this day wipes their ass with our rights, they know the masses are waiting for someone else to do something and are too lazy, entertained, ignorant to act. If everyone is waiting for everyone to act then no one acts.

It's laughable that you would think your elected officials would know more of the constitution than you, especially considering how the times are these days. They won't be the ones persecuted.

 

Your point is well taken but:
Go easy,we are all fairly confident forums like ours are more than likely skimmed , at least for keywords (last time it came up someone melbo I think) went into a rant of every single
keyword that would draw the attention of any alphabet agency just to provoke them..it was quite funny actually.

But some folks here currently hold positions of trust within the gov( usda agents, military folks. leo's),and mindless chest thumping could comeback to haunt them in the form of court martials or dismissals , and its not worth it to boast " why I'd kill e'ryone of them sum- beeotches...just to hear it read back to you by your ill tempered commander.I stupidly implied espionage to form a joke( joking about espionage in the intelligence world is the equivalent of saying "thanks you da' bomb" at the airport ticket counter). and included mb..,who may very well like to finish his tour without a pcs to "Levenworth afb"... (I assure you if you see the " I would never do that mr nsa man posts here; they are to be taken in context.)
Internet keyboard commandos don't impress folks who (alot of times have been there and)who frequent these sites.

I don't mean to single anyone out or betray anyone's loyalty or call undue attention.

It just grinds my gears about the complacency of the people today.
I watch TV and see the VISA credit ads where they portray paying in cash as a bad thing. (lead up to, programming the masses for the hand chip)

I see so many people make light, joke about things that shouldn't be taken lightly, especially when it comes down to my and our liberties.

I see how the media and gov use situations to "GUAGE" the publics reactions. Wether they can continue going that way. If the public says OK we'll accept wire tapping or illegal searches, then they take it a step further the next month, nice and slow like a snake in the grass.

Remember, The black guy beaten by the cops in LA? The LA riots happened after the gov's verdict. Then came OJ's trial, so they let him off to prevent the riots they thought would happen.

Maybe I need a thicker layer of tin foil but these times today have me concerned.

So I hope I didn't offend or piss ya guys off.

Although I wasn't happy with your personal attack, I don't take any offense since I understand completely where you are coming from. I just tend to contain my extensive rants to private conversations face to face with people I trust completely to avoid situations such as described by Tango.
