    Woohoo! [boozingbuddies]

I have a bunch of knives on my "Done" board, which doesn't mean they're done but almost. Heh.

There's 3 Fighters, 3 Landsharks and 2 Super Camps. All that's needed is sharpening and applying the logo and they'll be going out for sheaths.

Here's MM's Landshark - crappy pic but the Ironwood is SWEET!

The first 2 Super Camps from all the orders I got:

And the first 3 Fighters to get done:

Last night I epoxied and clamped Seacowboy's Fighter and today it looked like this:

A little grinding here and there, a little sandblasting:

For the first time I decided to leave the steel in the handle sandblasted - I think it looks pretty good and so does that Green/Black Micarta!

Of course SC has the last word on that but it's nice!

Those look good. Maybe one day I'll pick up the trade and find a good master to apprentice under.

You know, if someone wants to teach me something I'll be there. I have a chance to go to WA to learn for 3 days under Todd Begg and I'm going to do it in the next 2 months. It just doesn't get better than that.

But I got an email the other day from someone in my town saying they wanted to learn blah blah blah. I told him to come over at 5 or 6pm and I'd teach him stuff before I went to work at 7pm. Haven't heard back - if it was me I'd of been here 10 minutes later! That bugs me.

Good to see you Andy! When I have time I'd like to redesign this knife and wind up with 2 or 3 models of fighters. I also just got a powder coating kit so when I procure a 220V oven I'll be doing some coatings.

I've learned two things that I definitely follow. If someone wants to teach you something, take the chance. You never know what you could be passing up. And never say your going to be somewhere and not be there. If you find you aren't going to make it, don't leave someone high and dry with nothing to go on. You do that to some people, they'll never offer again.

SC, glad you like it! After being in Vegas all day I don't know if I'm going out to the shop tonight but it will go to the sheath guy in a day or two. Ditto for the ones on the wall in the pic that need sheaths.

TMH, you're right and I heard from the guy today. Said he was gone all weekend and just saw it and couldn't believe what I was offering. It's up to him now - I have wanted a shop bitch er, helper for some time! [lolol]

Well it looks like I have an apprentice! Robert came over last night and he wants to learn to make knives so I have to figure out how to make my orders and teach him. He found me by the tutorial on this board!

    Here's a new pic of SC's knife:

And MM's Landshark - this thing is scary sharp!

I am sorry folks, nothing around here will go right lately. The Landshark for MM's friend turns out to have a couple of significant defects, and I cannot send it out. Of course SC's knife is waiting to be sent for a sheath but I was trying to fix this other one but don't seem to be able to. There are a couple of spots where the handle material "lifted" off the tang. Completely my fault, but now if I junk it I don't have the Ironwood to fulfill my orders.

My elbows and right shoulder are shit and it's really affecting my work. I had an MRI today and I think because of the way I had to hold my arm the shoulder is killing me so I'm not even working tonight.

Man I have the BEST customers and I want to finish these knives! I have a helper now but he's been too busy with his business to come over. Please be patient!

More pain pills please! W00T! [boozingbuddies]

Sorry to hear that Don. Take your time and take care of yourself first. We can wait on the blades.

I appreciate it! I'm really frustrated because I think the doc I saw really screwed me. I told him I did not want to go the MRI route and take 6 months to find out what's wrong - just give me a cortisone shot straight down into my shoulder and let me go. OK, he agrees but when another guy came in and gave me the shot it was much lower and under the shoulder blade. That shot did nothing and I can't take more cortisone because of my liver transplant so I think this asshole's mistake in "shot placement" is now going to cost me a surgery. Damn thing hurts a lot since the MRI but I'm going to go out and try and do some stuff.

As of now anyone can order Kydex sheaths in Black or Digital Camo, with a variety of fasteners for belt or Molle gear carry. Same price - Digital Camo comes in Desert and Gray. W00T! This is who's making them for me www.redhillsheaths.com

Hey Valk, Those look GREAT! I know I said to make it for MOLLE gear, and I would Like that to stay, however is it possible to do both? It would save me quite the trouble. Thank you!
