    sheeesh.

Coming home from the hospital early this morning, I had the radio on ...The John Tesh radio show was on and I was listening....
It seems the newest "In" thing in home based businesses, and Women's Parties....is:

    Taser Parties!

Yep. They even make them in shiny metallic pink for the color coordinated woman....
The C2 Protection Unit seems to be the most popular...and even comes with every kind of holster from Leopard print to color to match your purse....

    Thoughts , anyone?

First there were Tupperware parties. Then there were ladies-only sales events for pots, pans, makeup, candles and clothing. So, what’s the latest home-based buying business? Tasers! According to Newsweek magazine, girlfriends are gathering to “eye and buy” tasers similar to the ones police carry. Like the C2 Personal Protection Unit. It’s small enough to slip into a purse, and comes in enticing colors like “metallic pink” and “electric blue.” It’s a real taser – not a stun gun which requires close contact. It fires an electrified cable into a target from up to 15 feet away and delivers 50-thousand volts of muscle-paralyzing power. The basic unit costs $300. Three-fifty if you want a laser sight to help you aim.
Aren’t tasers dangerous? They’re illegal to carry in places like New York, Hawaii, Michigan, and Massachusetts. Since 2001, 290 people have died after being shocked with Tasers – mostly by police. Tom Smith, chairman and co-founder of Taser International, says that although they’ve been sued 102 times for wrongful death or injury – they haven’t lost a case yet. He also points out that they do criminal background checks on all buyers, and taser firings can be tracked – because each taser releases little bits of paper with the serial number every time it’s fired. Another safety feature: You can only fire it once. The company will give you a fully-loaded replacement taser only after you file a police report. For the time being, a lot of law-enforcement agencies are taking a hands-off approach. As long as tasers are used legally, they have no objections to civilians having them.
