I don't necessarily like all of this but it is difficult to argue with if we plan to survive much longer. Worth the watch. http://www.storyofstuff.com/
I've always felt the main problem facing the planet that underlies (sp?) everything is population (with corruption coming in 2nd). I do have a problem with the "recycling" directive in the list of things to do though. I firmly believe that we've all been mislead about it, and that in most instances, it wastes more energy and causes more pollution than it solves. Penn & Tellers "Bullshit" episode on recycling is a real eye-opener.
I stumbled into these videos recently my only comment "she'd getfarther if they left out volatile "left wing environmentalist "terms like "exploitation(!)"every use is automatically "exploitation" in the worst possible greedy extreme meaning. how much use is valid and how much constitutes "exploitation" of a resource?otherwise I do agree think we need to become more concious of what just buying stuff really does.
