    These are pretty neat and easy to build. Turtles are good to eat.

    I wonder if that kid can remember how to get back to the short bus. Yeesh. Then again, he might be a budding politician, can't remember the question he was asked -- :lol:

    About the trap. Are the top plates, balanced? So when the turtle climbs up, it tips and he falls in?

    Spring loaded. My ex-wife and I had a homemade wooden one like it.

    Snapping turtles may taste good, but they are demons straight from hell when it comes time to clean them. Cut their head off, gut them, and a half hour later they're still trying to claw you!

    From what I have read, your get them to clamp onto a stick, cut off their head first and then the claws second. Proceed with cleaning.
