For us: Wifes' pathology came back, lung tumor was a "typical carcinoid" (vs. an "Atypical"); ("Typical" is the slowest growing most common least likely to spread); and lymph nodes were all clear, Thank you every body who passed on prayers and well wishes... she's recovering from painful thorachotomy surgery at home.
She has been in my prayers T3. Thanks for updating us. The prayers will continue for her complete recovery and that soon, this will be just a bad memory.
Well I certainly do not pray, but I offer all of my best wishes!!! I am also happy to hear that this isn't as bad as it could have been.
Now, I have to pause and reflect after that ...., there are some good things that are left in this ole world after all! God Bless! Bill
Thanks guys, don't ignore symptoms, got a cough that hangs on.? or Cough up blood? My Dad was an avid smoker and developed a small persistant cough(tickle in my throat), we went through oh it's' a " sinus infection", radiation, chemotherapy, paliative care, his passing.
Tango, glad to hear all is well with your wife. I went through a similar thing with my dad in 2007-2008. He had a high fever that wouldn't go away along with a cough. When he finally went to the doc it was pneumonia caused by a mass in his lung. Did the scans and found it throughout his body already. He passed away 11 months after diagnosis. Feb 17 would have been his birthday, he would have been 66.
WAY TOO YOUNG!! Now here's the scarry part, my Great-Grandfather died when his son (my grandfather) was 25, my Grandfather died when his son was 30 (my dad) and now my dad passed away when I was 35. So does that mean when my son turns 40 it's my time?
No. You disown him at 39 . Though genetics have a lot to say about our longevity, so does our lifestyle. Keep yourself in good health and listen to your body (because your body listens to you).
I have a similar dilemma, my great grandfather died when he was 77yrs old, ma grandfather at 67yrs old and my father at 57yrs old. I'll be 47years old in just under five years, and it worries me. Tony
Thanks be to God. May he give you both his peace that goes beyond human understanding and continue to bless you both.
sorry to hear your family history is seemmingly short lived. be brave get "thoroughly" screened. garden hose up the rear, etc... No laughing matter..
