Look at asset per citizen vs. liability per citizen.
At this point, liability is almost 120k higher.
That proves a point that I've always tried to make:
THEY'RE COMING FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT... AND THEN SOME.

Geeeze guys! Looks like US is in much worse debt than Greece! Do you expect something similar to Greece to happen in the US?

We are in deep, deep trouble.

I think if ou are at this forum....you probally already know this. Guess I am stating the obvious.

Will we reach the level of Greece? Propaganda will keep it at bay - at least the public will not see it coming for quite some time.

    Yup.
People don't realize that they don't actually own their homes, even if they're debt free. It's closer to feudalism than anyone cares to admit. The govt. has rights over your property so long as they can demand tribute. Before you write that off, let me tell you that there are middle class families living in the northeast US in 1500 - 3,000 sq. ft. homes paying 7,000 13,000 and even 20,000 per year in property taxes. These are people I know.

In Europe, they tax assets. That means regardless of your income, you have to pay an annual percentage on the money you have sitting in the bank, even if you're not doing anything with it.
Klinton tried this in the 90's but failed to get it through. IMO, it's unavoidable for the US.

That's why I'll continue to advocate leaving the system. As much as possible, minimize your: buying, selling, working and saving. What you must do, do through back channels.
For every bit that we participate, we feed the beast.

How come US has laws in lot of states that ban people from collecting rain water???
I just saw some videos from US news channels where people are taken to court for collecting rain??? State says it's not your water even if it falls on your land???
Geeeezzz.....if someone tried something like that here on the Balkans, people would hang them by their nuts!....after they collected all the water they wanl...LOL

Greece can't "print" euro's.. we can "print" dollars. The can gets kicked. This is just one giant race to debase currency first.

UGH!....the moment you start printing $, you're in very serious trouble! I saw in few financial papers that banker recommend $ to be replaced as "global" currency...and suddenly Iran is buying a tons of $?!?

Well, we really haven't been printing, per say. We've been monetizing the debt, which just bad if not worse.

Monetizing = Printing without a press. Just a keystroke away. No need to print those bennies when you can sell $2.0 Trillion of debt in much less time!

LOL...Virtual printing...computer age and all...first they sell virtual stocks, then they print virtual money, and then people use them as virtual means of payment. Lucky that food and water aren't virtual as well...
