There was once 3 men climbing a mountain in the Himalayas. One day as they were climbing, a avalanche came crashing down the mountain and engulfed all 3 of them. It rolled them over and over, tossing them every which way. Eventually they were knocked unconcious and were swept down into a hidden valley.

As they awoke, they noticed that they were in a tropical oasis hidden in a valley of the Himalayas. There were parrots, and monkeys, and even koala bears climbing eucalyptus trees.

One of the men awoke, covered in a animal skin blanket, feeling very bruised and battered. He looked at his rescuers and realized that he was in fact in a monastery. When the monks saw him, they brought him a warm drink and made him drink. They told him that he was in their monastery named Mercy, because that is what they gave lost travelers.

He continued to drink what they had given him, and asked them what it was, because he could feel his strength coming back to him with each drink. "It is a special tea that we make out of the Eucalyptus trees and Koala bears" they explained. "Well this is great, but it looks like their is fur and some leaves in here, why is that?" he asked.

"Oh traveler, don't you know? The koala tea of Mercy is not strained" was their reply.........

The Quality of Mercy
</center>

<center> The quality of mercy is not strained.
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
Tis mightiest in the mightiest; it becomes
The throned monarch better than his crown.
His scepter shows the force of temporal power,
The attribute to awe and majesty,
Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings.
But mercy is above this sceptered sway;
It is enthroned in the hearts of kings;
It is an attribute of God himself;
And earthly power doth then show like God's
When mercy seasons justice.

Quite some time ago, I was in Paris on business. Back in those days, there were public facilities scattered about just in case you (or anyone else) suddenly got stricken with the greenapple quicksteps or an urgency brought on by too much coffee. And so it was with me about ten AM on a Sunday wandering around sightseeing. The problem was, the doors on these relief kiosks took a french coin, worth roughly ten cents at the time, to get into them, and I was coinless. My pace of wandering picked up as my internal high level alarm became more and more insistent, shaking the doors on all the privies, trying to find one with a malfunctioning lock (there were a few of those that I knew about, but I was not in a part of town that I was familiar with.) Almost running now, I slammed a hard left into what turned out to be a walled cul de sac, and noticed a recess in the wall some 10 meters down the way, and (of course) after looking around to be sure that there was no one looking on, did what needed done, and left considerably dryer than I otherwise may have been. I guess it's true, a niche in time saves a dime.

:lol: @ ghrit's dime.

Two boll weevils grew up in South Carolina. One went to Hollywood and became a famous actor. The other stayed behind in the cotton fields and never amounted to much. The second one, naturally, became known as the lesser of two weevils.
