BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) - Mosquitoes from two different sites in Baker County have tested positive for the West Nile Virus.

Now health officials say it's probably just a matter of time before a human tests positive for the potentially deadly virus.

And a third mosquito test site in Baker County falls within the probable range for a positive test.

Officials declined to identify the three test sites, saying only that they were spread out within the mosquito vector control district.

All three sites have been sprayed to kill adult mosquitoes as part of the routine control program.

West Nile virus can cause encephalitis, which is inflammation of the brain, or meningitis, which is inflammation of the lining of the brain and spinal cord.

But it typically causes only mild symptoms.

Not far from me, I work there alot
