In NC . Looking to learn some new skills , and start to use the ones I used to use . I guess I got to citified over the years , and looking to get back into it . Im a little older now , and a few more aches and pains , and move a good bit slower , but hoping to get out and about and get back in shape . Thinking of throwing on a pack and hitting the woods just to see what all I've forgotten over the years . Lot's of good info on this site , really have enjoyed reading some of it , might be a while before I have anything useful to add , but may have a few questions if ya don't mind . Really trying to learn different ways to produce power right now .Don't have a real good spot for full off grid living , only on 1 1/2 acres , but hoping to move to the hills in the next couple of years , if I can make my plan work . Sometimes I think living in the city seems to suck the knowledge and drive out of us. The materialism and convenience makes our brains and whole being slow down but speed up in city living. May not make sense but when you have everything at your finger tips, we lose something. I became citified and since starting the prepping journey, I often have times when I mutter I know this, Grandma did this. Welcome aboard, glad you finally stopped lurking about became a monkey.
