Does anyone have any idea how long condensed milk would still be safe to use (past the expiration date)?

It should be good for many years. Some years ago we were exploring an abandoned mine and found some really old canned food (beans, peaches, condensed milk and some other items) stashed in an old mine shack. The packing date on the beans was 1941 so it's pretty safe to assume that the other items were that ole. Just out of curiosity, we opened some of the beans and a can of the condensed milk. It appeared to be just fine. We didn't eat more than a spoon full of the beans but they tasted just fine and the condensed milk still smelt sweet.

I'm not sure I would want to take that experience as a guideline but it's interesting.
