Good find, very interesting and informative. It would appear that the LEO's job is permanently threatened by the threat of death from any quarter with no respect to age or gender.

How many of you who live in the US carry 24/7 including the ready access in your home environment, as described in this paper?

Just where do the 2nd amendment rights stop for a person to have and own a weapon? and where a CCW is allowed or required end?

Can a decent no convictions trailer trash gypsy own and carry?

It is a tough job, and they always have to be alert.

I do not carry at home, well very rarely, but arms are always close by and hidden in plain sight. When I am out and about with the family you can bet I will have at the minimum a .380 in my pocket, and there is a good chance a .45 will be on my hip.

Federal laws state you are prohibited from owning a weapon if you are a convicted felon among other things. State laws can be even more restrictive depending upon what state you live in. State's also issue the CCW/CHL license to carry concealed weapons. Each state has it's own requirements and laws. There is not a federal CCW/CHL license. Each state has a list of areas that are prohibited to carry in.

Sure, as long as they do not have a criminal history, can pass a background check, and most states require minimal training and assessment. For more detailed answers, you can go to www.packing.org.
