    Hey everyone!

I know that honey is very good and healthy product. But I wonder can we use it as a medicine? And in what cases?

If you're going to get into honey then make sure it isn't (A) from China, or (B) pasteurized. Local, 'cold processed' honey is what you want.

We have used it on bleeding wounds with good results, and in cough syrup kind of things.

Better yet, get yourself a local source that pulls it out of the hives...no doubts then ;)

In the ancient medicine, honey is used as remedies for various health issues, but in the modern times if you want to use honey as a medicine, it is based on your body health and living lifestyle. Always using natural honey is giving a good result in the body. Better to buy honey from your local vendor, because it is very pure and healthy.

Fallout From Cold War Nuclear Testing Detected in U.S. Honey | Smart News| Smithsonian Magazine

Nuclear fallout is showing up in U.S. honey, decades after bomb tests | Science | AAAS
    "
Fallout from nuclear bomb tests in the 1950s and '60s is showing up in U.S. honey, according to a new study. Although the levels of radioactivity aren't dangerous, they may have been much higher in the 1970s and '80s, researchers say.

"It's really quite incredible," says Daniel Richter, a soil scientist at Duke University not involved with the work. The study, he says, shows that the fallout "is still out there and disguising itself as a major nutrient.""

    Weird, huh?

Use local honey ,, unpastureized ,, local honey helps your immune system ward off localized colds , flus , etc .

Also ,, look into Elderberrys ,, lots of good uses there also .

Local unfiltered raw honey only where you know the beekeeper. Anything else is suspect. I can blend honey from my hives with off the shelf honey or corn syrup and you will never know the difference without testing.
