Interesting presentation And who cobbled together the over-arching legislation that has enabled the so named "self written" warrants served by Federal agents??? I do believe it would be G Dubya and his neocon cronies wouldn't it??? OBama is merely following a practice initiated by good ol' boy Republicans....not that Obama's use of the Patriot Act in that manner is in any way excusable.... The problem is not just a matter of party partisanship....it is a matter of ideologically driven self serving politicians (on both sides) who, for short term selfish gain are steering their country to the sh!tter...with feet firmly pressed on the throttle, and the brakes disabled so that nobody else can stop it. WE have our own political doofuses with ideological agendas.....which makes it worrying enough to be an Australian living in Australia....but like rock and roll, coca cola, Britnney Spears and Paris Hilton...inevitably we will catch the American disease of politicking, and absolutist governmental control....it is possibly the one significant reason why we Australians have a constitutional monarch as our vestigal head of state, rather than a notional Republic, with a notional president as our head of state.
Thank you for bringing this up, it was the only thing left on Fox worth listening to. His show Freedom Watch has been cancelled, I wonder why. The Verdict - Judge Napolitano on Obama's Plan Giving Unlimited power to the Federal Reserve - YouTube
Knowing who owns Fox and seeing the move to the middle in their broadcasting the last several months I'm surprised it wasn't sooner. The Judge is a voice for freedom and I will continue to follow him and read his books. Wish he were my president.
If he ever runs for president,I think he's got my vote.Wish we had a congress made up of men like him.
A Congress of Napolitano clones...I don't think so. Unlikely to ever happen. He would be nobbled (nobble - definition of nobble by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia. ) in the same way that Ron Paul has been nobbled, by the faceless men (mostly men) the king makers and power brokers who make things happen...or not happen as the case may be. Napolitano, although he speaks the right wing / conservative rhetoric that Republicans like to hear, he sounds like he is too much like his own man to be a useful, reliable, pliable tool for those who actually run the country. He may make a tilt at the presidency perhaps, but my guess is that he won't become President, unless he is VP and the President dies or is impeached. At face value, Napolitano impresses as an orator, and there is no doubt that he is persuasive in his arguments. But, be careful of what you wish for. A congress of Napolitano clones may not necessarily be good for the health of the nation. I'd settle for a congress that is as articulate, capable of looking at complex issues and being able to create and argue for and against legislation competently....on BOTH sides of the house. To have one faction composed of people that think, look and speak like Napolitano, would not necessarily be the best thing for that faction, nor for the country as a whole.
I think most of America would be happy with a congress full of Napolitanos rather than that devil begotten, hair besodden, pimple beridden, snot encrusted maggot infested bunch of sobs we have now.And that's just Reid and Pelosi..not counting Boehner and Graham.
To many Americans 0bama sounded good 4 years ago; the reality of the last three years changed that. So, be careful what you wish for...
Maybe I can't read between the lines but it appears to me that he echoes a lot of what Ron Paul talks about that is wrong with this country. Not saying I agree with everything Ron Paul says but I definitely like more of what he says that anybody that is either a Democrat or Republican. Not saying I'd want a bunch of cookie cutter people just like Napolitano. I do like that he does not appear to support any of the two party candidates. So I guess along the same lines of logic the same could be said for anybody. I am anxious to hear others opinions, I do not know everything and always welcome to be educated.
I enjoyed listening to him also. However, other than I would fail into the "strongly agree" category with everything I heard him say on Fox; I know next to nothing about him. True, other than anybody but 0bama I don't see much I like either.
When I said I wished he were my president I didn't mean to leave the impression I agreed with all his views but he would,I believe, return us closer to our founders vision.A man of ethics couldn't hurt could it?
