    Aloha Monkeys!

    I wanted to take just a moment to say “Merry Christmas!” to all our members…

    Our very best to you and yours for a Happy, Joyful and Safe Christmas!

    You know… one of my favorite shows is still “A Charlie Brown Christmas” from way back in 1965… 50 years ago and still going strong!

    Still love it today!



    Here’s some background on this classic
    Fifty years ago, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was first broadcast on American television. Some network executives thought it would be ignored, while others worried that quoting the Bible would offend viewers. Some wanted its creator, Charles Schulz, to omit the Christmas story, but Schulz insisted it stay in. The program was an immediate success and has been rebroadcast every year since 1965.
    A Charlie Brown Christmas is the first prime-time animated TV special based upon the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was produced and directed by former Warner Bros. and UPA animator Bill Meléndez, who also supplied the voice for the character of Snoopy.

    Thank you @Bear for sharing this. So often we get swept up in the materialism that this wonderful season has become, it is nice to be reminded of the true meaning. I do believe the best thing we all could do is give to each other from our hearts.

    Christmas is not a time nor season, but a state of mind

    Thank you @Bear for this post. I had mostly forgotten this Charlie Brown movie. Thank you and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. I forgot that Charlie Brown was around when I was in school.
