Well I've done it again...I managed to end up with .22 handgun that I know nothing about (well I will end up with it as soon as my FFL dealer gets it). I even finally found out what it was (after I went and asked on another board). Yes I know weird that I had to ask what I sent a FFL off for. But I figured better to find out so I could tell my FFL what I was receiving.

Of course you're probably asking what the heck was I doing buying a handgun when I didn't know what it was right? Well here's the sad part...didn't buy it. Won it. And it wasn't a raffle either. A full giveaway. It's going to cost me $20 for the transfer.

Found out I won a Ruger Mark II. A NRA Commemorative too boot (guess they made 5,000 of them)? Now I've got a fun little handgun to shoot (that is if I've got better luck at figuring it out than I've had at the 2 Ruger 10/22's I've got and have yet to fire - and neither of them cost me anything either).

Cool. Just don't try to take it apart to clean it. Getting a wine bottle away from Teddy Kennedy is mere child's play compared to putting one of them back together.

I have a bull barrel version, I never had any problem tearing it down OR putting it back together (as long as I have the directions handy :D ). Follow the directions and you'll have no problem (you really DO have to turn it upsidedown to put to back together  )

You got lucky again TLynn !!!

    NO, you don't.

You just have to have the hammer in the "fired" position, and be careful about the little cross pin and the jackknife like mainspring housing. Commenmoratives lose their collector's value if you shoot them. Not that this particular one has much such value.
