New house signage

I have a new sign for in front of the house. It was prompted by the below picture:

NICE, now thats a message. I wonder if they do custom sinage ? I'm thinking about a sign that says come inside uninvited and you will be leaving ventilated.

Why not just put up a sign that says "There are firearms inside this house, watch carefully to make sure that no one is home before you try to steal them"?

 

Because the psychology is the deterrent. Additionally, it is rare - extremely so- that the house is unoccupied.

 

Showed my wife this post. Her reply: Wouldn't it be nice to just put up a "Welcome" sign like people used to years ago?

 

That's pretty freakin' cool!!!!

 

I'll just take my targets from the shooting range and hang them in the windows.

 

I like to see out of my windows for better target acquisition. Castle Law in Texas is pretty implicit. Trespassers CAN and WILL be LEGALLY shot.

I have a sticker that says that, got it about 20yrs ago. Along with one that reads "driver only carries $20 in ammo"

 

Funny to laugh about here on the net, but if you're ever involved in a shooting, I'd take the sign down before the lawyers see it.

Being a NY'er like tc556guy above we aren't used to the Castle Doctrine stuff lol. I like when I took my pistol permit class how they tell you that you have to do everything in your power to get out of your own house so you aren't forced to shoot someone. It's pretty disheartening.
