    I remember going out with a .22 rifle and a buddy back when I was a senior in HS...long about 1968. We prolly killed 8-10 nutria easy in less than 2 hours. They were in the rice fields in SW LA and liked to eat/burrow thru the levees for the rice fields. This is NOT a good thing, FYI.

    Ugly little buggers with orange front teeth for the most part.

    Never tried eating them although I'd heard it was a "delicacy" for some.

    Needs LOTS of: Garlic, onions, and seasoned salt!
    But they have rodents here too! We call them: Javelina...big nasty filthy smelly rats!
