Remington is going to have a hurt after this. Although all the Rem 700's I've ever handled and fired and never had a problem with, I can see where people are coming from. Nobody wants a rifle that will fire if you touch the bolt, move the safety off, or drop. I can't say that mine has ever done this when it was in my hands. I did test the bolt and safety when I first heard about the problem a decade ago. One of the simplest fixes is to just put a Timney trigger in it and forget the whole thing.
