The sad thing is, there will be some folks who let themselves get swindled....

If any Monkeys live local, maybe you could go and speak to the would be sellers and offer them a few dollars more for their unwanted guns .

They do that here, at least once a year in the city.

    Sad.

is there a law against a private person doing a gun purchase program for $50/gun? I would love to do that. Especially in a state that allows face to face transfer of handguns.

What happened to the old law about "saturday night specials", whereas a weapon specifically a handgun, could not be SOLD for less than a certain amount?
Must be ok, as long as the city breaks the laws!

I really hate their term, "Gun buy-back"! Those bleeding hearts never owned a gun - how the devil can they "BUY IT BACK"!
And in most metropolitan big cities, it's ILLEGAL to buy the guns without going thru a FFL. My take is most of these programs are illegal schemes.
