$24 bucks a box of 50? That is highway robbery. Hell, my local WM has it for $14.88 a box, and the boxes of 250 are just a little higher.

Try Walmart, IIRC their 250 round boxes were $65 a few months ago when I bought some. The only way the prices you mentioned might be decent would be if it was premium deffensive ammo like Hydroshock, corebon, gold dot or some such.

Ammo prices are way up. If some of you guys are still getting last years prices consider yourselves lucky but you are the exception rather than the rule. Walmart has become more expensive than what can be found online. I was buying .223 Remington 55gr fmj for $6.47 a box (20) in December and when I went to add more in January the price had increased to $7.57 per box.

    9mm was marked at $16/100

Gunbroker auctions are a pretty good source for relatively decent deals. ar15.com maintains a daily price list for 5.56 & .223

Wal-Mart has gone way up, from $9.97 a box to $12.97, and now to $14.88, that is still a whole lot cheaper than $24 a box.

I can't believe the 100rd boxes of WWB are that much - last time I bought them they were $19.99! I do love reloading.

The 250rd boxes of UMC were $81 at my Wal-Mart today - the WWB is cheaper. I keep loading up on .22 and shotgun target loads.

Was just there Wednesday night and 9MM had gone up again. My receipt shows 18.42/box + tax for WWB 100 count.

I can press .45 ,.223, or .308 with a change of of turrent , it is so good to roll em. WWB is still good for practice and the brass. I pickup at ranges, and bring home 200% more than I go with. Found about 50 .308 this weekend. Starting to add up fast.
