Monkeyman got me a Beretta 92 FS as an engagment gift along with my CCW class but its a little to big to fit in my back pocket and since I wear dresses a lot in the summer I need a good way to carry it. I would like to get one of the fanny pack holsters that has the velcro closer so you just yank down on the front of the pack to get to the gun. I was looking for any information on what brands were good for these, who makes them and where to get them. Any help on this would be great, thanks.

I bought my wife this one for Mother's Day and she seems to really like it. She got the version in brown. There is a compartment for your pistol that has a built in holster secured with velcro. You can actually lock the compartment the gun is in if need be. It has a small lock on the zipper and a small key as well. The purse can also serve as a backpack as the strap has the ability to be divided. Pretty handy. I believe that the Roma website is for distributors orders, but if you google it I am sure you can find it. You should be able to find it well under $50.

Gay or not if it works I really don't care. lol. For smaller framed individuals fanny packs and mini brifecases work great. My only suggestion would be to once you get it. practice, practice, practice. I thought mine worked great, till I tried to get it going full speed. I realized right there and then I needed alot more work with it. Just like drawing from concealment in street clothes it takes a little more work. Hope whatever one you get workes great for you.

When I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the heat of the summer. I have a Blackhawk 'fanny pack' that I use for packing. Gay or not. I'm going to carry.

Same as Melbo. When I'm wearing my shirt untucked you can't even see the fanny pack under it. I gave up on looks a long time ago.[coo]

I wear inside the waistband, with a shirt untucked I don't need a fanny pack. It is pretty quick into action also. I don't really think that fanny pack screams "handgun" unless you are "in the know" as in licensed, most crooks just stuff it in their pants. A buddy of mine in LE once told me that was a big difference between crooks and the rest of us. He said that very few citizens will carry without a holster (exception being pocket pistols) while almost no criminals use them. One a side note, carrying takes all of the excitement out of scary movies, when a .45 is on your side things just don't seem as scary.

I push a ice cream cart so the fanny pack is great as i can put bills in it and have my firearm at hand if needed but it does take a little practice to use
[deadhorse] p.s the dead horse is how I feel after ten hours of pushing the cart

The fanny pack is a very obvious "cover" for packing. Unless you are some overwieght skank from a trailer park wearing sweats everyone knows what you are doing. So you might as well wave it around and erase any doubt from the liberal oblivious retards.

[LMAO] overweight skank??? I've been called alot of things but I'm going to have to put that one on the list. Just for clarification I much prefer to be called an Asshole.
As for the "everyone knows what I'm doing" I really don't care. If it means that a person who is up to no good notices and leaves me alone then great, mission accomplished. If it's a cop that notices and asks if I have a ccw and the license then ok they're doing their job by being observant and they might just get someone that is a bad guy who's carrying and shouldn't be.
Unless and until I have some moron point and holler at me in the local quick stop "hey he's wearing a fanny pack that carries a gun!! isn't that GAY!!!" I will continue to wear what is comfortable.
Weather it be a belt slide holster, a iwb holster, a fobus paddle holster or fanny pack. You can let me know if any of those other ones are gay as well, I still won't give a shit but you can let me know. If we need another opinion as to what is the best out there we could always write Gunkid and ask him too.
    Have a great day.

Only to the gun crowd. We have seen them time after time in the gun rags, and I am sure that a lot of the po-po are going to have an idea, but the common criminal doesn't have a clue. It's like wearing a vest with a Gunsite, Thunder Ranch, Black Hawk, or Front Sight patch on it. Those that shoot a lot, have a concealed license, or read the gun rags will know. The "boyz in da hood" are just going to see the insignia of a bird and have no clue that it is the symbol of Gunsite.
