So, I have a terrible looking shed that came with my place. I am building a nice metal workshop that will soon contain all my stuff from the shed and an abundance of room. The only question is what to do with the shed?

Of the myriad of ideas, a chicken coop came up- not a bad idea, but a little big. Maybe sell on the cheap on craigslist with a "you haul" ad. Then, we found this idea for a green house that may be adapted to our shed:

Now, my walls are straight, but I think the idea is sound. Any thoughts?

How should I floor it? The original construction is 4x4 skids with a floor mounted on top.

gravel over a layer of screen to keep critters out, but allow drainage

A bud who does commercial glass installation is giving me some insulated glass panels. We will be putting up a 2' cement block wall, filling with insulation granules, bolting a treated 2X8 onto it, and adding the studs. The green house is going to be a simi "lean to" from the South East end of our home. We will come off the end of the roof at the same pitch for 12' then down to the block wall. Roof will be fiberglass translucent panels and the walls of the glass. Will have a door and window on each end to aid in temp control. Like the idea of adding screen prior to putting in gravel, thanks for the idea.

Sounds fairly heavy duty. Strongly suggest footings below the frost line.

I just turned 1/2 my 20x20 chain link walls/roof with cement floor dog run into a cheap-o green house. I'm dying to get to work in there! We ran plastic around the walls attached to wood. I spent the $ on corrugated clear top to cover the whole top and attached to wood. (we get some strong wind ripping through some times). I hope to head over to the Habitat for Humanity store and get a kitchen counter top (so cheap there) for a table. I am going to go vertical on the walls hooking planters to the chain link. If this works out as well as I hope I will slowly add the corrugated plastic all the way around. ($25 a 10x3 gets pricy)
