This dagger is a little thinner than my first. The blade is 3/4" wide, but 4-1/2" long with an OAL of 9". The handle is cocobola with deer hide stretched over it in a french twist pattern that really gives the handle some "grip".

I recessed the area under the deer hide (smaller diameter) so that after I stretched the leather over the wood, the whole handle would have the same diameter. Doing this also "captures" the leather wrap so that it doesn't slide up or down the handle.

    Love that leather !!

CJ, you ought to start posting some of your Paracord/Leather work here. I still have a few pieces of yours gracing some of my blades....

In fact, I need a really cool piece of leather on that Damascus and snakewood that Valk made me... Was just telling my wife that on Sunday

This deer hide came from a large buck that my Grandfather killed some 40 to 50 years ago in the U.P.

Hey bro...Just send the knife to me and I'll put a permanent one on it. Just let me know what your thoughts are/what you would like. Maybe a wrist lanyard? I did that for Valkman awhile back...maybe he has a picture of it.
