Upon reading Gator's sad news today about the passing of his baby granddaughter Stella Evangeline, I was drawn to the thought of how often we SurvivalMonkey friends turn to one another to share life events. We are approaching our 9th anniversary of existence as a digital village and I'm continually amazed at what a close group we have become through the years. The friendships that we have formed are as real and as meaningful as if we sat down together to share a supper or across a campfire. I'm always grateful to have this second home to come to at the end of a long day and for the company of so many good people.
I second that sentiment.... @RightHand !!! It takes a village to raise a prepared monkey & I for one am grateful for those contribution's by all. And even more so, for the friendship, camaraderie and thoughts shared by everyone!!
First, @Gator 45/70 , I am saddened by the news and hope for a quick recovery from the infection for you daughter in law. My family and I send prayers you way. Secondly @RightHand Truer words have never been said, It has been over a year since I have posted and I have missed all of you. The wisdom, experience, humor, advice, and FRIENDSHIP felt here is unique to the monkey and something i have NEVER felt on any other forum.
Oh, I just found this thread, Thank You to all. A bit of an update, The daughter -in-law was released from the hospital this am and has returned to the Ronald McDonald house for continued healing, This is her 4th. C section and from my understanding the doctors removed some/most of the scar tissue from the previous three. Her fever was up and down so she had to stay in the hospital until she had no fever for 24 hrs. They cannot leave there location until the Doctors re-exam her for I guess how well she is healing and so on. Bottom line as to the reason of Miss R.H observation is she is a people watcher and therefore very intelligent, You don't learn this from a book. I may not be the best at typing , This is not my chosen field, Just getting the message out is what is important. We have an Expo going on locally so I carried the oldest Grandson to the event today, The Granddaughter was a bit sick and didn't want to go. Any of our regular Monkeys that need help and I can then I will. Meet Jon-O, He had a blast ! Racing cars, Twiggy the water skiing Squirrel, Swamp People, Monster Buck Thanks'
Thanks for the pictures Gator. I'm glad you took a little time to enjoy the pleasures of the small things and small ones.
