That's almost exactly what my Maggie looked like! Awwwwwwwww......I miss her...I need another dog... Everyone made fun of her , with the Blue Merle..and called her "ugly"! So I named her Magnolia...told her she was a flower of the South..and called her Maggie... I loved that dog soooo much...best dog I ever had....She was a rescue dog..they found her on the golf course with 3 broken ribs and 2 broken legs...and Quigs? I know how you feel...if I ever found the SOB who broke her bones with a golf club?? Well...I think y'all know.... Beautiful dog!
It sure is Bear.... and now I have it bad....I want to go get another dog...But while I live in this dumb townhouse...is it fair? Or wait until I can move, within the next year? Man..... Just a beautiful dog Quigs.....really is....Thank you!
My Super-Pooper, his name is Bear His momma was a Rot and his dad a German Shepard. The runt of the litter that was all turned into the pound. 4.5 lbs when I brought him home Good looking dawg, Quig
CRC, just get a more lazy breed that dosnt tend to feel the need to run and bounce off the walls all day and then take it with you for your walks on the beach. I've had big dogs even in a small apartment and they were perfectly happy. Even now that we have 13 acres we have to keep the dog on a chain until we can get a yard fenced because he will be shot if he goes to play with cows around us, so whats the big difference with haveing them in a smaller place with out a huge yard as long as you get them out for a run/walk reagularly.
Hey with a name like that.... he's gotta be a winner!!!!!!!! Since we're showing off our dogs.... Here are the canine ladies of the property.... Sammy and Star...
Oh Bear,,,they are just too stinkin cute..... Adorable...My NaNa's "Smokey" looked just like that .... Thanks.... (great..now I have to go find a dog to have it's picture made... )
Nice Dogs! I have a couple too. My pride and joy ran away after I had a few friends down for a 10 hour shooting session... Mara never came back. These two are 'Chili' for Chilicothe, Ohio, where we found him and 'dane' which is was my son's dog and his 'proper' name is half-dane... whatever the hell that means. he has no dane in him..
Beautiful Dogs , melbo! I'm pretty partial to "mixed breeds" myself...The best dogs I have ever had were ones from the Pound..or rescued from the Vet's office... Hope your girl finds her way home......
Here's one of Kirby my tri-color Border Collie, Chance my free pure blooded German Shepard pup that's 17 months old and 100 lbs; and Keya my Akita;
Conagher? Again...this may sound redundant...but it's not...Beautiful dogs! My mother bred Shepherds and if I were to get a full blooded dog..It would be either an Aussie Cattle dog..or a German Shepherd......They're gorgeous dogs.... Ok..now I have the fever really, really bad... Y'all come up with a dog for me.....I live in a 2 story townhouse..with a small fenced patio...(that sometimes has garter snakes on it...) One block off the beach..so I can take it for long walks..... and I live less than 2 miles from work..so I can come home at lunch.... It's 2 bedrooms....and I need a dog. This is your assignment for the week...Terriers are out...too hyper... and they have a 50 lb limit on dogs here...Nothing over 50 lbs....I think I will ck out the so not aptly named "Humane" society...and "Pet Angels" a grass roots organization that rescues dogs and cats..... I think this is a good idea.... Any ideas on breeds that might adapt to this kind of living for now?? ( I plan to be out of here come next Summer....somewhere in the country...or where there are mountains and beaches....) Looking around now for property in Western NC., Eastern Tenn, and Virginia... It's all y'alls fault too....
At least you didn't say pekinese or something else prissy like that.. I'm thinking a total mutt.....and name it something Parrothead "ish"
Here are some of my 200 lb Saint Bernard "Napoleon". I think he's a little bigger than the original Napoleon was.
