I like listening to Snowden speak, he's a little long winded, but he uses good notes and makes valid points.
It's cool to see Ron Paul interviewing him, too.

Snowden is a smart guy, really smart. I wish he could get pardoned but understand why this will never happen but the guy is a patriot and he certainly knew what would happen when he jump on the grenade. That's my opinion on it. Unfortunately, he's on borrowed time for sooner or later either Putin will give him up or our government will get him. It is nice to see Ron Paul interview him as he probably is one of the few that are not afraid to give Snowden a fair interview.

He is quite long winded and if you noticed...Dr No actually said very little during the interview.
While I very much support Snowdens actions....i don't think I'd like him as a person.
You can tell I'm not news-hounding these days....this is 5 days old! Normally this would have hit my radar within minutes of release.

@Bandit99 I can't see Putin cashing in on a Snowden bargaining chip but I could see one of your letter agencies creating an accident for "teh traitor".

It's just that I don't trust Snowden at all. The reason I don't trust him is not because of what he did, claimed to do, or is labeled a traitor to the corporate oligarchy. I don't trust him because he's a spook. Once a spook, always a spook. And, it's convenient he's taking refuge with Russia with this recent turmoil and windup toward WWIII. Just about anybody can see the implications, here.

That being said, and I will quickly mention the point he made in the interview about the United States always needing a perceived "enemy", when asked about the recent scandal with Russia and the DNC --he's telling us more than some may think with that statement.

    ;)

Yes, I have always perceived of the DNC as an enemy too.
Note when he as listed the countries that spy on the US, he leaves out the biggest spy ring(s) in the US. Just go look what Jesus said about it/them for the reason.

Oh yes, I can see Putin using him in some way. Many, many times we catch spies and it never makes it into the papers (on purpose) so even for a simply personnel exchange or for some information or even to sweeten a deal - oh, yeah, I can see it. Snowden is nothing to Putin or Russia, just a way to poke the USA in the eye. As far as one of the Intel agencies offing him...they (we) are much more subtle than our Russian counter parts so we'll wait a few more years and then arrange a nice quiet accident. Snowden's name is still to much a headline and many Americans, such as myself, think him a patriot and hero and they know right where he is so why bring heat and hate onto themselves. But, the poor guy is doomed either way...

It is interesting that they talked about the Deep State. I actually read a mainstream article that mentioned the deep state. I think it is becoming a real thing to people rather then a tin-foil theory.

Well, if the mainstream media announces it, then surely it must be real. [sarc1]

President's come and go, but much of their staff remains for quite a long time bouncing around here and there. Zbigniew Brzezinski and name your Rockefeller stooge of choice, or perhaps a PNAC associate or twelve, and then there's the Goldman Sachs collective and the plethora of CIA henchmen. We know these people not just by their associations, but their histories and allegiance to global governance. Some people actually need a professionally syndicated broadcast network to program their brains to accept the harsh reality we face; those who are awake only need to connect the freaking dots.

    @Brokor "I don't trust him because he's a spook."

Yeah, but not a real one. He was a technical geek of which thousands work for NSA, CIA, DIA and each of the military Services and while they work for the real 'spooks' they don't have any authority or clearance to make or change policy. They do nothing but manage and maintain computers and communications. But, it is a very broad line between the hired help and the real decision makers and the operations spooks. They hire thousands of technical contractors also to cut costs and use them in the same way of which I was one and worked for all those agencies mentioned at one time or another. The fact that he did work for 'the spooks' and the fact that he chose to reveal what he found out was happening knowing full well what would happen to him should prove without a doubt that he puts the nation and its people first over the agency. He also moved the idea of it from being a whacko conspiracy theory to fact for the entire world to see - that in itself is a big deal. Anyway, that's my opinion...

EDIT: Another thought...The agencies also use service members from all branches and all skills sets like logistics, mechanics, pilots, anything and everything. And, they hire contractors also for these and other skills they need but even though all of these people work for the spooks they are not one. Almost all their Door Kickers (Delta, Seal 6, Rangers, Special Forces...) are military as they have very few if any of those types - hell - most of their field operators are women! Anyway...just some thoughts...

The thing about "Spookiness" is it tends to Rub Off, and be high;y infectious.... It is similar to "Cowboy Copiness" If you got a Cowboy, as a Training Officer, you tend to become just another Cowboy, in the Gang...

The problem with cell phones is the same as with the rest of technology. They decide to regulate it well before they understand it. A persons cell phone is (allegedly) their own property. They pay for it, they own it, they can destroy it, or do what they want with it but for some strange reason the government has decided that it can monitor everything you do with it. This is a BLATANT violation of the 4th amendment as well as the 1st and possibly several others. If the government violates the Constitution knowingly and willingly it has engaged in TREASON and they deserve a traitors death. This is why Snowden is so dangerous. For surely if the people figure out that they have been enslaved unwittingly they would fight their slave masters.

If you really want some power and influence what you could do is take all of the things that have been usurped (such as cell phones) and make a secure version. Make your own device that allows you to talk unmonitored. How many people would pay a LOT of money to have a cell phone that they OWN in reality and can say what ever they want with out fear of government reprisal? Do this for the internet. Do it for regular mail. See how much power and influence you can get by giving the people what they want.

These things like the Constitution that guarantee your freedom can not do it. Its just a piece of paper. It can NOT protect you. It is up to YOU to make those things stated in it true.

I would not assume too much, there. Some of the most pervasive and secretive spies are often not what they seem. You only receive the version of reality they choose to present to you. Some of the most unsuspecting people have been 'real' secret agents, living normal lives as a plumber or mechanic for decades, having a family and friends until one day they are activated. Upon interview after an incident and activation, the neighbor would simply say, "Oh, he was such a nice, friendly man, I would never even think he's capable of doing that...and his family, oh dear."

The fact is, we don't know much of anything. Perhaps we may be closer to the truth if we accept this possibility. ;)
