A new study finds no evidence that gun shows lead to substantial increases in either gun-related homicides or suicides.
The University of Michigan and University of Maryland study also shows that tighter regulation of gun shows does not appear to reduce the number of firearms-related deaths.

now that we know this the government can take the people who work the gunshows and send them into the high crime areas of the major cities. i think cops and feds should work the high crime areas. or is this profiling?

I wonder how much tax payer money went into that study?

But what sticks out to me is one word - SUBSTANTIAL. This is giving the antis what they want, because it does not say

Or something of that nature. But hey, that's just me reading between the lines

[slow]Just thought it was another one of those "well DUHHH....." studies. But, I guess common sense and definitive proof are not the same thing.[coffee2]

    Tango,
Commonsense hasn't been around in years, it left about the same time all of the "zero tolerance" BS came about.

Actually might even predate zero tolerance by a bit. IIRC, PC came before zero tol. I'd say common sense left around then. (YMMV)

    Estimado legislador de California,
Armas no matan gente, las personas matan a las personas. Ir a mostrar un arma y dejar de actuar como un montón de idiotas,
