    Hello all,
Sorry to keep boring you with news from this side of the water, but eventually it affects us all, as i know from reports you having the same problems over there.

Today, some haulage companies in the UK have been protesting at the soaring cost of fuel in this country.
However somewhere along the line, and in the dead of night, someone STOLE away our rights of FREEDOM OF SPEECH (without hinderance) and our RIGHT TO PROTEST!!!!!.

Haulage companies in Wales, that planned to protest using a speed limit of around 20mph, and using two lanes of a motorway, were issued with "ENFORCEMENT ORDERS", preventing them from doing this, the POLICE STATE that we call the UK, have allowed them to drive along the motorway, but must keep to a minimum speed of 40mph and only use the inside lane, they wanted to hand in a petetion to the Welsh Assembley regarding the cost of fuel, but they have been told they will be met by an official somewhere else????

Another protest is underway in LONDON.

    Hiya Mate,

I served in Her majesty's armed forces from 1982 until 1992, seen the writing on the walls from BFG (British Forces Germany), and binned the idea of returning.

Poll/Council Tax and the crap gun laws were what made me look for an alternative future. Here I am today in Bavaria Germany and I have a couple of pistols and revolvers and a few AR15's, semi's not the straight pull type and a few hunting rifles. Apart from that I'm happily married and we have 2 toemag clones (son's)..

There is only one way out, feet first, lol.

    Take care.

Socialist countries are one step away from communism, I lived in England and Northern Ireland back in the 70's and do not miss it.

Toemag & Pauly Walnuts oops and "little toemags"
You lucky pair of gits hahahaha!
Nah seriously you both had seen the writing on the wall long before me!

    This place is "shot-to-bits"
its had its day, and that day will never return, it bends over backwards to help everyone else but its own citizens!!

Toemag:I have a cousin who is serving out in Germany at the moment i think he has been out there for about 3yrs?
Got a family and he says that he will not return to this "hell-hole".

    Pauly Walnuts:
Ive tried unsuccessfully to use my Irish ancestory, to gain a "green card" to the USA.

GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU, I ENVY YOU BOTH!!!

    Heyup Londonistancalling,

Sorry to hear that I was partially right, I'll never forget the way that Maggie was ejected out of power and replaced with a wet sock.

Don't think that it's all roses here, as it ain't, we have the (not so) new coalition government that have supreme power, no opposition worth a damn to slow them or even stop their plans, and believe me they have some corkers.

The future is bleak, probably the reason why I'm learning as much as I can.

    Be good.

Yup, not real sure a move would even be worth the trouble as we are following along in the same foot steps and by the time you got settled would most likely be no better off here I hate to say. I hope Im wrong but it seems the same writing is on the walls here for us.
Already we have lost the right to know what we are charged with, have a speedy trial, leagle advisor and such with the patriot act and all the gov has to do is decide to call you a terrorist. There are already restrictions on what groups can say what when and where (gun rights groups for instance cant spread their messages to close to election times, clergy cant express political views to their followers and so on), we have free speech zones when politicians are in the area so protestors can be kept to those areas to make sure they are not seen by the media, the government is still trying to slowly disarm us..... We are headed in the same direction and frighteningly few recognize it and even fewer care or will do anything to try to stop it.

And there would be a few quid in it for ya trouble hahah!!

    Pauly Walnuts:
    You sure did son!

    Toemag:
Yea i hear what you are saying mate, but i feel you have a better chance over there than we do here..IMO?
    " Heyup Londonistancalling,"...so TRUE!
Keep learning all you can Tony...KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

    monkeyman:
Yes mate, again i hear what you and Toemag are saying you both are echoing the similar sort of words.
We also used to have "so-called" free speech zones but this has been rapidly replaced with political (in) correctness.

There used to be a place in Hyde Park called (funnily enough) "speakers corner", where normal citizens could get a crowd round and make a speech, however this was before political correctness and before the country was run by the islamification brigade!!!

Although at the moment and maybe for some time, things havent been that good in the USA, i feel we are more near a "Banana Republic".

Worst case scenario, you the citiznes will still be able to put up some form of defence!!!
We on the other hand, if it is not already outlawed by then, may be able to wave an umbrella at them, and if we are really lucky point a finger..(lol)

I would be [gone]from this place at the drop of a hat mate!

'Speakers corner', way back then as a young soldier, junior leader 16+ I went and had a look at that place, had a great time, got pi$$ed as a fart, woke up with a start or was it a tart and made my way back to Bovington Camp.

Check this man out he is my source of sanity at time's, his page has been taken down so often it's a hit and miss thing trying to watch his stuff. He is so painfully honest. http://www.patcondell.net/index.html

At the moment we still have SOME of the tools that could resist tyrany but I fear at large we lack the most important, the intestinal fortitude. While a few would stand up for freedom, the extream majority would kneel to lick the boots that would trample them and I fear the number in this camp would be so high that those who stood, while dieing free, would barely even be a nusience to tyrants.

    Hey brit-monkeys; Just outta' curiosity:
We had two movies here that blatantly portrayed modern britain under extremely repressive facist governmints; they were " V for vendetta", and "children of men". Question is: were they screened over there? What was the reaction of the viewers?

"would barely even be a nusience to tyrants."
If this is the case mate, then im sure that enough nusiences "will" cause a major problem for any wanna-be-tyrants[cow]
1984....a man ahead of his times....i dont think in his wildest dreams he could have forseen as much big brother as there is today?

Same here, i saw and enjoyed both as well. I think it's a very good eye opener to brits who may take their freedom of speech for granted.
