It's getting so obvious anymore that the new Democratic Socialist/Communist way to win over an opponent, have someone not appointed or deal with someone that they can not bully is to accuse them or set them up for this kind of sexual crap.

The Demotard party after 8 years of Zero has become the biggest threat to the US and makes the terrorist threat a joke in comparison.

I think it's a setup with the girl. He was already in Taiwan when he heard about the charges and did not take his scheduled flight back. Not a good move and needs to come back and lawyer up.

 

Methinks he shot himself in the junk....he should have ordered a hooker from a 'grab a granny site'...no age of consent issues there...though perhaps 'informed consent' might be an issue with hookers suffering from dementia.

The powers in charge would like nothing more than to be able to go back to raping and victimizing people.

Sometimes a sex scandal...IS a sex scandal....individuals on both ends of the political / ideological divide are prone to be participants of sex scandals...and ever will it be so...regardless of how many 10 Commandments monuments, and how many "In God We Trust" plaques the public square gets decorated with, and how many national prayer breakfasts are conducted etc etc.

I understand your sympathies for the man, given his activism in disseminating 3D plastic gun specs and plans...but prima facie, the justice system seems to have sufficient evidence that Wilson has a case to answer in respect the law of that jurisdiction. Wilson has the presumption of innocence, yadda yadda until the prosecutors convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt that Wilson is guilty, but even if it was a dark conspiracy by commie democrats to knobble Wilson,( Urban Dictionary: Knobble ), at the end of the day, if convicted, Wilson would seem to have had a primary role in not complying with the law in the jurisdiction where the offence was alleged to have taken place. The take home message is: know the law of the land as it applies to oneself, and if engaging in sex with anyone (male or female), establish proof of identity, and age, before burying one's junk. Failing to do so, may result in tears, and an orange jump suit.

I note that there were few conservatives' tears spilled, and not much sympathy extended to Chuck Schumer and others of his political affiliation for the sexual peccadilloes they had been caught up in.

 

Yes, I realized the law, but 17 is really crazy. My mother was aged 14 married, and birthed my eldest brother by age 15.

Age of consent in the UK, I believe, is 16? I've viewed documentaries on African tribes, where boys and girls very young, were married. It's a cultural thing. 17? Geez. She advertised there and he paid it. Was he even her first guy? Not hardly.

The media called her a victim. She is a victim about like I am.

 

In Oz, is the age of consent still 16, as long as the guy isn't over 18? Then, it is 18?

There are several (State and Territory) jurisdictions which have laws in relation to age of consent, and illicit sex with minors. It would be best to consult the relevant state or territory legislation with regards to the matter. The relative age of the individuals who have had sexual relations, isn't simply the only issue, and isn't considered in isolation to other relevant facts...and regulatory restrictions.

This has come up many, many times over the years on my former (international) forums. Not sure about Aussies or other nationals. However, Americans are bound by the laws of the US, no matter where they are in the world.

Just waiting for the facts to come in. It does seem suspicious and OTOH it won't be first or last time a man let his junk do his thinking for him. Age of consent varies from state to state and has lots of slippery rules as well.

 

So what? We've got a president that pays hush money to silence a porn star for some indiscretions. I'll bet if we ran serious background checks on most members of all the branches of our government .. nary a one would be without sin of some sort.

Just remember that they keep passing laws to make us all criminals so they can control us. And sometimes fabrication is necessary just to spoil the court of public opinion.
