greetings i am hoping some one with 3dp menendez or danny meatball mags experiance can help,,,, 9mm mags all day long but no info on printing model 35.40 cal g17 mags. can any one share how to convert, scale,fix a 9mm mag to .40 ? can pm if opsec concern. thanks
after some research,,,, you cant print g17 .40 glock mags too thin? i guess the steel insert is what make it wirk.
Do you have a .40cal slide, barrel already? With the cost of mags .. this seems like a lot of effort to 'save' 20 bucks plus shipping.
printing a mag is way less then 20$. i suspect no cheap p-mags in 40 for the same reason. carry mags are oem, drums and 30rd+ are kinda range toys. but i do like to play.
I could see that the filament is probably cheaper, but if you included your time .. well it may be more expensive to roll your own.
yeah time is a factor. 14 hrs to print a ar mag in 2 colors, 7hr one color. 47 hr for the orca handguard 2 color. im also looking at a printed ar fire control group,,, not because its better but because its possible. il do all the printed parts for the orca i can just to make it as much 3dp as possible. ar charging handel 3dp? il let you know when i move to more exotic fillament like nylon and abs. with my 5 weeks of printing experiance anything seems possible. one of the best things about 3dp is the prosses. print it, fail, fix it, print again. repete as nessisary.
