since today is fuck opsec day il relate my 3dp experiance,,,,,, so far.
    bambu x1c
after i sold my house and moved into a 160 sqft rv i got a 3d printer. wow your quick,,, yeah no place to set it up. so it sat in the box since feb 24. turned it on first time yesterday. not a wifi fan and all my starlink is hard wired,, came with a wifi modem just never used it. soooo wifi hot spot off laptop to make wifi network for printer and android phone [with no sim card]. to use said printer you have to have the bambu handy app. so i created a gmail so i can acess google play and install the b-handy app. iv been putting this off as i need the right mind set for computer day. some times a pot of coffee is just not enough. after watching videos of the " binding" process i finaly tried it. by the way my laptop hotspot has a range of 2' if i set the phone on the laptop it can find the wifi,, 5' and it drops. so 7 hrs after opening the b handy app i got the binding done and several updates. took so long because app was constantly losing the wifi connection. in theory i can now just turn on the printer and print from sd card and not have to put my prints on the cloud. my 40 cal didoes are no ones biz but mne. since i live in a rain forest and humidity is a problem i set up the 3dp and powder coating oven in a grow tent to control humidty, noise and smell
today will be activating and using bambu slicer. happy happy joy joy feelings and optimisim abound. IMG_5871.JPG

Nice prints. I don't have the Bamboo printers, just 3 that have either been torn down and remodded to be a better printer and my V-Core3 (400x400x400 print area).
I started with one Anet A8 printer (a clone of the Prusa printer), then got another one off of FB market place for cheap cause the guy couldn't get it to print right.. I moded the second one to be an AM8 printer. Basically the same printer but removed all of the acrylic frame components and used extruded aluminum.
Next up I had some print jobs that were too big for the 220x220 of the Anets, so I bought a kit from RatRig, the V-Core 3 with a nice 400x400 print area.
The 2 Anet printers have had the control boards replace along with the firmware that runs them. Everything uses Klipper now. Yes they are all connected to my home network and I can use a slicer on one computer and send print jobs to each individually.
Love my 3d printers. I make so many things that help out in other hobbies or print gift items.

FYI, BL is forcing an update and blocking print functions if you don't upgrade. This alone is reason enough to not get a BL printer.
I like the functionality they give, but I like having control of my printers, no phoning home to report my usage.

should have got the ender. want to print on your bl printer? you have to slice w bl slicer. so far putting sliced files on sd then printing has been,,, a challange. i saw a prussa print profile for bl so you can slice in prussa and print with bl. i had to hack the mavic same reason.
im hopeing those smarter then me come up with a fix. airgapped till then.
hey maybe china will free the printers like they did the drones.
    thanks

I know a guy that's trying to all his 3dp off line using memory cards for all the files.
I'll get a run down of his setup next time I see him.
