I was at this game,Husky Stadium I saw the punt by the Seahawks downed at the Charger’s one yard line. I thought it would be a perfect time to get rid of some beer. Unfortunately I missed the historic play. 99 yard reception that had only been accomplished a handful of times. My life never really got any better. I never heard nor felt the Mt. St. Helen’s eruption or the Nisqually quake. For St. Helen’s I was in church. The latter I was cleaning the latrines at Camp Rilea in Oregon. Never felt a thing. I miss big things evidently.
I do remember one impressive earthquake. Akutan Island, Alaska. I thought I was dreaming. The next day I was like “oh yeah.” Shook the crap out of me. Of course there’s an active volcano there. They said “Great place, you’ll love it!” That should be a thread of its own I suppose. * drafts new thread about Akutan*
