Long opinion piece on dems... and what looks like serious mismanagement of... well... everything? America’s Cities Are Unlivable. Blame Wealthy Liberals. The demise of a California housing measure shows how progressives abandon progressive values in their own backyards. Bush once used to describe the invasion of Iraq: “Catastrophic success.” The economy here is booming, but no one feels especially good about it. When the cost of living is taken into account, billionaire-brimming California ranks as the most poverty-stricken state, with a fifth of the population struggling to get by. Since 2010, migration out of California has surged. The basic problem is the steady collapse of livability. Across my home state, traffic and transportation is a developing-world nightmare. Child care and education seem impossible for all but the wealthiest. The problems of affordable housing and homelessness have surpassed all superlatives — what was a crisis is now an emergency that feels like a dystopian showcase of American inequality. Just look at San Francisco, Nancy Pelosi’s city. One of every 11,600 residents is a billionaire, and the annual household income necessary to buy a median-priced home now tops $320,000. Yet the streets there are a plague of garbage and needles and feces, and every morning brings fresh horror stories from a “Black Mirror” hellscape: Homeless veterans are surviving on an economy of trash from billionaires’ mansions. Unbelievable ,,,,,,almost,,,,,That very last part was an eye opener . A school teacher that has to pay for her own replacement if she's out on sick leave ,,,,,, and does it ,,, shows their commitment to our future ,,,,,,, and this is totally unacceptable . In my opinion . Screw a Liberal ,,, before a Liberal Screw's you ,,,,,
Be of good cheer! The Cascadian Faultline will fix all of this by doing away with...all of this. LOL! And, with luck, perhaps all those supposedly Progressive Dems will be home when in happens.
A Leftist measures success by how much of your Money they can spend and how little value they can get in return for it.
Considering the insane cost of housing in California, It's easy to believe that there would be many homeless. It's probably like this in many states, it's just not talked about enough.
In AZ The wages are so low that it takes a two wage earner household or you can't own a home. Apartments are crazy priced also. Yeah, I know some of you are big wage earners, but I am talking about the average person.
