    Your Excellencies,

    There is no climate emergency.

A global network of more than 500 knowledgeable and experienced scientists and professionals in climate and related fields have the honor to address to Your Excellencies the attached European Climate Declaration, for which the signatories to this letter are the national ambassadors.

The general-circulation models of climate on which international policy is at present founded are unfit for their purpose. Therefore, it is cruel as well as imprudent to advocate the squandering of trillions on the basis of results from such immature models. Current climate policies pointlessly, grievously undermine the economic system, putting lives at risk in countries denied access to affordable, continuous electrical power.

We urge you to follow a climate policy based on sound science, realistic economics and genuine concern for those harmed by costly but unnecessary attempts at mitigation. We ask you to place the Declaration on the agenda of your imminent New York session.

We also invite you to organize with us a constructive high-level meeting between world-class scientists on both sides of the climate debate early in 2020. The meeting will give effect to the sound and ancient principle no less of sound science than of natural justice that both sides should be fully and fairly heard. Audiatur et altera pars!

Please let us know your thoughts about such a joint meeting.

Yours sincerely, ambassadors of the European Climate Declaration,

Professor Guus Berkhout – The Netherlands
    Professor Richard Lindzen – USA
Professor Reynald Du Berger – French Canada
    Professor Ingemar Nordin – Sweden
    Terry Dunleavy – New Zealand
Jim O’Brien – Rep. of Ireland
    Viv Forbes – Australia
    Professor Alberto Prestininzi – Italy
Professor Jeffrey Foss – English Canada
    Professor Benoît Rittaud – France

    Professor Fritz Vahrenholt – Germany
    Rob Lemeire – Belgium

    There is no climate emergency
A global network of 500 scientists and professionals has prepared this urgent message. Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific. Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real benefits as well as the imagined costs of adaptation to global warming, and the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of mitigation.

Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming
The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experiencing a period of warming.

Warming is far slower than predicted
The world has warmed at less than half the originally-predicted rate, and at less than half the rate to be expected on the basis of net anthropogenic forcing and radiative imbalance. It tells us that we are far from understanding climate change.

Climate policy relies on inadequate models
Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as policy tools. Moreover, they most likely exaggerate the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2. In addition, they ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with CO2 is beneficial.

CO2 is plant food, the basis of all life on Earth
CO2 is not a pollutant. It is essential to all life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth: additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yields of crop worldwide.

Global warming has not increased natural disasters
There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent. However, CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly. For instance, wind turbines kill birds and bats, and palm-oil plantations destroy the biodiversity of the rainforests.

Policy must respect scientific and economic realities
There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. If better approaches emerge, and they certainly will, we have ample time to reflect and adapt. The aim of international policy should be to provide reliable and affordable energy at all times, and throughout the world.

Not everyone is buying the Scoldilockks version of climate change - or that the changes are necessarily a bad thing.

Is Climate Change the new age hobgoblin?

Hobgoblins seem to be small, hairy little men who, like their close relatives the brownies, are often found within human dwellings, doing odd jobs around the house while the family is asleep. Such chores are typically small tasks like dusting and ironing. Often, the only compensation necessary in return for these is food.

To assume is the nature of those who wish to control others.
PTB and others often use the Phrase "it is common knowledge" or "we all know that" etc to support something they want to enforce on those who demand facts.

Fact is the temps today are abnormally low and happened after days in the high 90s.

    Hobgoblins works for me.

BTW, temps in this home never dropped below 72, the point at which the non green gas AC unit said it was correct and matched the set point of the AC Unit serviced by the Grid.

So it never hurts to build correctly knowing that Mother Earth and the Universe will do what known Physics will do to the Frail Human Body.

Temps tonight will be over 55 degrees lower than yesterday.
I do not expect the house to drop below 69 degrees with no aid from man or the grid
    Prep or pay the price.

The Truth is what I say it is, not some pesky scientists! Come on, global warming is the biggest scam on earth, litterally world wide, never mind China isnt doing anything but deny it , nor are any of the other polluters, just those Woke nations who profit most from this "Catastrophe" of our own making!
Anything to break the strangle hold of the 6 oil concerns who own and control the vast supply for world wide consumption!
Follow the money, its a war to bring big oil to its knees! Climate change has been going on since the building of this earth, and man has had little if anything to do with it in the last 200 years or so!
Just more lies to try and keep the scam going!

Yeah for the last ipcc sub report they like to count pre industrial climate as 1850 to 1900.
First half of the 1800s was the little ice age and then Krakatoa in 1883 I believe.

Marine nitrogen fixers mediate a low latitude pathway for atmospheric CO2 drawdown
Marine nitrogen fixers mediate a low latitude pathway for atmospheric CO2 drawdown

seems all that CO2 makes for larger algae, which also fix N2.

    Abstract
Roughly a third (~30 ppm) of the carbon dioxide (CO2) that entered the ocean during ice ages is attributed to biological mechanisms. A leading hypothesis for the biological drawdown of CO2 is iron (Fe) fertilisation of the high latitudes, but modelling efforts attribute at most 10 ppm to this mechanism, leaving ~20 ppm unexplained. We show that an Fe-induced stimulation of dinitrogen (N2) fixation can induce a low latitude drawdown of 7–16 ppm CO2. This mechanism involves a closer coupling between N2 fixers and denitrifiers that alleviates widespread nitrate limitation. Consequently, phosphate utilisation and carbon export increase near upwelling zones, causing deoxygenation and deeper carbon injection. Furthermore, this low latitude mechanism reproduces the regional patterns of organic δ15N deposited in glacial sediments. The positive response of marine N2 fixation to dusty ice age conditions, first proposed twenty years ago, therefore compliments high latitude changes to amplify CO2 drawdown.

Funny as science has Proved that because of the earths orbital shift on it's axis, that areas that were once Temporal ( Like the PNW) are now Sub Tropical, and tropical areas are now becoming more closely related to deserts! This isn't Global warming, it's Climate change, and it has nothing to do with carbon emissions or man made causes! It's a Cosmic shift of the earth, and there is nothing we can do about it but survive the changes how ever we can! I really wish the PTB would stop with the whole Carbon thing, the greenhouse gas thing and focus on the real issues!

Yea, I get it, we have been reliant on OIL for over 100 years now, and technology should have/should be caught up enough to have other means of energy production without burning Dyno Juice, but big oil has fought tooth and nail to prevent it, and to quash real advances! And now we bank on Solar Tech, Fuel Cell Tech, Hybrid Tech, and a host of other "Solutions" which are merely band aids to the true science and technology advancements! Bring back Steam Power, it was/Is Way ahead of it's time, just poorly understood and poorly used! Bring out cold fusion!

Just recently I read that Chinese scientists had come to a conclusion that as opposed to Global Warming their models believe that man made pollution has had next to no effect whatsoever with global warming or climate change and that in fact their model indicated the SUN, the ATMOSPHERE, and OCEAN CURRENTS were the top elements effecting climate change and they believe we are due for gradual cooling maybe spiralling to another mini ice age.

About every decade or so for the last 120 years, "so-called" experts tell us that the world is warming or cooling. Back in the 1970s we were told that the world was cooling and that an ice-age was just around the corner. That the corn and wheat growing states of the mid-west and plains would become frozen tundra. That mile-high sheets of ice would grind great cities into dust, people would starve, be forced to live underground or flee south to warmer lands, etc.. This was reported in the New York Times (back when it was still a NEWSpaper), Newsweek, and Time. Scientists were actually trying to devise ways to melt the ice-caps and glaciers, with grant money from governments no doubt. Maybe they will finally call it right someday, but I'm not gonna bet real money on it...not over $20 anyway.

Along the east coast there are emergencies of flooding ,but the fix is simple, move inland .
Europe is seeing ocean rise as well, move inland.
When you live along any coast there is always a range of some sort or another, accept your losses and move inland. No one else fault but one's own for taking the risk.
If you buy space on an ice burg and it melts, that the price you pay, don't be blaming others for one's lack of common sense.
One of the first things I look at when looking at property is it's elevation. I don't care if it hasn't flooded in 100 years .
    Pretty does not mean practical.
