Just so you all know that the west hasn't a lock on scenery, here's a shot from the top of Mt. Washington looking northwest. Yes, that is ice and snow in early September.

why yes it is, first shot is from the boat landing at Union Bay campground of Lake Superior, 2nd is Lake of the Clouds, and the rest is from the Presque Isle River trial
