The owl showed up about 10 minutes before the buck. Watched him swoop down and grab a mouse. He sat on that branch munching for a few minutes .

 

Bagged my two this morning and took them to the packing plant about a hour ago!

They scaled in at right at 1000 pounds each if averages hold they will put about 830 pounds of beef..... errr venison in the freezer. Didn't have much in the way of antlers though

 

Can’t eat the antlers, anyway…though I hear they make a good soup!

LOL, if you ask the deer in my back yard, the Teotwawki has already begun for them. They can bark all the autumn olives they want.

Crafty Junior got a really nice buck. Best ever at this camp. The hunt continues.

 

Got mine 2 weeks ago. Come rifle season will knock out a few does.

Wasnt the biggest deer in the world but a good old mature buck.

 

Its still bow season here. Muzzle loader starts soon then gun season.
